ECA Challenge -- What is it?
Dear ECA Community,
In preparation for having school in the building for the fall 2020 semester, we are now considering adjustments we can make to keep everyone healthy. Because we are eager to hear your ideas on creating a safe and fruitful educational environment, we have created the ECA Challenge.
The ECA Challenge is open to all ECA community members, including students, families, and staff members. This challenge gives everyone the opportunity to brainstorm, research and present health-conscious ideas for re-opening the building.
The topics are:
-- Entering the building
-- Regular classes
-- Elective classes
-- Extended care
-- Family events
-- Mental health
We expect to have several teams working on each topic. Each member of the ECA community may be part of 1-5 teams. Each team may have 2-5 members.
You may sign up as a team of 2-5 members, or you may sign up as individuals, pairs or threesomes looking for teammates, and we will hook you up with other people who show the same interest.
At the end of the ECA Challenge, each team will present its suggestions to a panel of ECA administrators, who will then evaluate all team ideas and implement the most feasible ones.
The team presentations will include a simple bullet list of great suggestions (due June 22) and a five-minute Zoom presentation highlighting the team’s best ideas (June 23 to 25).
Rest assured, our administrators are hard at work building solutions, but we believe your input is incredibly valuable. We hope you’ll join us in our mission, and we look forward to hearing all about your ideas.
To get involved, please scroll down. Once you have signed up, we will get in touch with you to confirm your team and offer support.
We are excited for you to join us in planning a healthy learning environment!
