Your Family's Health is Our Priority
Our Building Exceeds Health Standards
Our classrooms are huge so your child has plenty of space.
Each classroom has:
An independent HVAC system
Its own bathroom
Its own kitchen sink, refrigerator and microwave
Windows with screens for fresh air
Large lockers inside the rooms
We have several huge playground areas so the children can spread out.
What the School Can Do
Keep the groups small.
Cultivate substitute teachers who work only at our school and a limited number of other schools.
Limit the number of people who enter the classrooms.
For indoor family events such as choral concerts, set the chairs far apart.
Offer the option for families to attend some events (such as parent conferences) through Zoom.
Provide hand sanitizer and touchless trash cans.
Change the HVAC filters regularly.
Clean cloth toys often.
Clean water play and sensory tables often.
What the Teachers Can Do
If you have symptoms of a contagious disease, stay home.
Take the children outside as often as possible.
Avoid eating with other classes.
Do activities with your cohorts (assigned other classes) only.
Choose field trips that are in small venues with small groups.
Avoid activities that require blowing with straws, balloons, blow dryers, etc.
Wear gloves when touching food and drink, when helping in the bathroom, and when cleaning.
What Your Family Can Do
If your child has symptoms of a contagious disease, keep him or her home.
If we ask you to pick up your child, arrive within 30 minutes.
Follow the directions on the document called "When to Stay Home and When to Return to School" posted below.
Wear a mask (families, not students) when inside the building.
Do not enter the classrooms.
Prepare water bottles and sippy cups in advance. Don't have us pour.
Pack food and drink that your child can open and close independently.
Leave diapers, pull-ups, wipes, and cream at school.
Leave a change of clothing at school.
Have your child bring a clean mask every day, just in case someone in the room gets sick.
Label all of the above with your child's full name.
Do not bring pacifiers to school.
If your child has allergies or a medical condition, send the office an email about it and turn in the appropriate forms.
What Your Child Can Do
If you have symptoms of a contagious disease, stay home.
Wash your hands often.
Cough and sneeze into a shirt sleeve or a tissue.
Throw away used tissues immediately.
Cover the bathroom door handle with a paper towel, then throw it away.
Eat during snack and lunch time only.
Eat only the food and drink you bring with you.
Leave your water bottle on the counter (not the floor).
