GETTING READY

Getting Ready for Drop-in Babysitting

Communicating

  • We communicate with families using a free app called Seesaw.

  • Please download it to your phone or other device.

  • When you arrive, we will give you a code so we can text with you through Seesaw.

Food

  • For all time slots, please pack drinks and snacks.

  • For the afternoon time slot (12 to 5), pack lunch.

  • For the evening time slot (5 to 8:30), pack dinner.

  • Remember, we do not allow popcorn, hard candy, soda, nuts or nut products.

  • Since the children may not share food, please pack each child’s food in a separate lunchbox or lunch bag.

  • Label the lunch bag, all of the items inside it, and all drinks.

  • We have a refrigerator and a microwave.

  • For health reasons, we do not prepare cups or bottles, so please pour everything in advance.

Clothing

  • We prefer gym shoes because we play in the school gym.

  • For young children, please bring a plastic bag with spare clothes in it. Please label the bag and the clothes. 

Napping

  • Children are not required to nap.

  • If you would like your child to nap, when you drop off, please let us know how long you would like the nap to last.

  • We have nap mats.

  • Please bring a blanket. You may also bring a small pillow if you like. 

Diapers & Potty-Training

  • ​Children are not required to be potty-trained.

  • If your child is training, when you drop off, tell us about your expectations for the day.

  • Please bring all diapers, pull-ups, wipes and cream.
